There's really not much to tell about us. We are just SLUGs making an attempt to support other previously hardworking productive adults who have lost their jobs and succumbed to life as a SLUG.  Included among us is Melanie Lee, author of The Book for SLUGs.

We know that after being unemployed for a while with no job offer in sight, it's hard to even take calls from friends and family because you don't want their sympathy and can't bear listening to another pep talk.  You desperately hang on to your last ounce of self-esteem and dignity as you continue to be rejected for every job you apply for.  The guilt of not earning income is eating away at you.  Just the thought of the mounting bills is enough to give you a rash.  We know!!! 

Here at It's a SLUG's Life, we just want you to know that you're not alone, and to feel supported while you experience the horrible ups and (mostly) downs of SLUG'dom. If you were able relate to something here, that means you are among LOTS of other SLUGs who have gone through similar unemployment trials and tribulations. All of us SLUGs have our own tales of woe, some of which can surely be classified as "horror" stories.

The main thing is to keep a perspective, not give up, and try to find humor in the situation (as hidden as it sometimes may be).
